At our event, organized in collaboration with the Institut français de Turquie – Istanbul, we gathered with our members and supporters to discuss governance, inclusivity, and the boards of directors of the future.

During the panel discussions moderated by Lale Saral Develioğlu, we explored the evolving concept of leadership and how effective boards of directors will take shape in the future from various perspectives.

We had a rich conversation with Sammar Essmat, ranging from the IFC’s global work on gender equality to women’s representation on boards, the contribution of diversity to decision-making processes, and how meaningful change can be measured.

In the final session, we listened to Burhan Karaçam share his extensive experience in the business world and his valuable anecdotes. Through the lenses of board effectiveness, leadership, organizational transformation, gender diversity, and open communication in Turkey, we reflected on the priorities for tomorrow’s boards.
